Autism Specific Early Learning and Care Centre
Anglicare SA’s Daphne St Autism Specific Early Learning and Care Centre (ASELCC) delivers specialised education and care for children aged up to 6 years with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a long day care setting.
Funded by the Federal Government, Daphne St is the only ASELCC in South Australia.
The centre is co-located with Anglicare SA’s Daphne St Childcare Centre in Prospect.

Our service offers a play-based Autism-specific curriculum for children with specialist support in:
- Speech Therapy
- Occupational Therapy
- Early Childhood Education
- Family Support
- Qualified Childcare
Based on the Social Communication Emotional Regulation Transactional Support (SCERTS) Model, our program focuses on the core challenges experienced by children with ASD including:
- Social Skills
- Communication
- Joint Attention
- Emotional Regulation
- Sensory Processing
- Activities of Daily Living
Each child has an Individual Education Plan with goals developed by specialist case managers, in consultation with parents.
